At the east end of Vail Village, just past the Golden Peak area, lie the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens. Though it’s a little off of the beaten path, this garden refuge is a “must visit” attraction. For those who are wanting a little quiet time, meandering paths will take you through impeccably manicured flower beds that highlight the native flora and fauna of the Colorado Rocky Mountain region. Small streams wind their way through the gardens, and the resultant atmosphere is relaxing for the senses, while still managing to be a feast for the eyes. Located adjacent to the Ford Amphitheater (which hosts free concerts all summer), and with a fantastic playground next door, this pristine oasis is truly fun for the whole family.
